My episode review and pictures for "The Amazing Maleeni"
Official Summary: A small-time magician is found dead after turning his head 360 degrees for an
amazed audience, but Mulder and Scully believe he was murdered.
The episode was filmed on the Santa Montica Pier, which I visited when I was in
California. Apparently the magic show takes place in the amusement park. I rode
red roller coaster you see in the background in the pictures above. I don't know
if anything was filmed on the beach, but there are pictures there in case.
MULDER: You think this was murder?
SCULLY: Don't you? The man's head was cut off, Mulder.
MULDER: Observe: the nearly complete absence of blood.
Observe, the paucity of fingerprints, as revealed by the LAPD's liberal application of
lycopodium powder.
SCULLY: Why are you talking like Tony Randall?
